How Local Jobs works
How Local Jobs generates installation enquiries for your business
Local Jobs is the managed service from Home Service Installs. The process is deliberately short: you choose the jobs and the area, we build the enquiry page, run the local Facebook and Instagram ads and send the enquiries to you. Here's what happens at each stage.
£850 a month. Rolling monthly. No setup fee. Plus a recommended £500 a month of Meta advertising, paid straight to Meta from your own account.

You tell us the jobs you want
A short conversation about the installs you'd like more of, the ones you'd rather avoid, and what a good job looks like in pounds. This is where most lead generation goes wrong — a campaign aimed at 'gates' and a campaign aimed at 'automated gates over £4,000' behave completely differently.
- The specific products or job types to advertise
- Jobs to deliberately exclude (repairs, small remedial work, DIY supply-only)
- Rough average job value and margin
- How many extra quotes you could realistically handle a month
- 02
We agree the area
Campaign geography is set around where you actually work: a radius from your base, a set of towns, or a couple of counties. If you'll happily do a 40-mile job for the right money but not for a small one, we can shape the targeting around that.
- Radius or named towns and postcodes
- Areas to exclude
- Whether some jobs justify travelling further
- 03
We build your Local Jobs page
A single dedicated enquiry page about the exact job we're advertising, built and hosted by us on your own branded address. It uses your finished-project photography, explains the job, answers the obvious questions and asks for an enquiry. Your existing website stays exactly as it is — and there's no setup fee, because building it is part of the service.
- One page, one job type, one clear action
- Fast on mobile, because most of the traffic will be
- Your company, your work, your photos
- 04
We run the Facebook and Instagram ads
We write and build the adverts, set up targeting and budgets, and manage them day to day — all through your own Meta ad account, so your spend goes directly to Meta. Creative is usually your finished installs: before-and-afters, close-ups of the finish, short clips of a gate opening or a door working.
- Ads built around your real finished projects
- Your ad account, your page, your data — you keep them
- Ongoing testing of pictures, video and messages
- 05
The Job Check
Before an enquiry reaches you, the homeowner answers a short set of useful questions. Not an intimidating questionnaire — just enough to know a bit more before you pick up the phone: what they want, where they are, roughly when, and roughly what they're expecting to spend.
- Job type and specification
- Postcode or area
- Timescale
- Rough budget where it's sensible to ask
- 06
The enquiry comes to you
Enquiries are sent straight to you so you can call while you're fresh in their mind. You quote, you install, you keep the customer. Home Service Installs does not resell that enquiry to another installer.
- Sent to you directly
- Not resold to competing companies
- You own the customer relationship
- 07
We review the numbers together
Then it's an ongoing loop: what did enquiries cost, how many turned into quotes, how many turned into installs, and what would need to change to make the maths better. Follow-up automation — CRM, SMS, email, WhatsApp — can be added later if it's genuinely useful, but it isn't where we start.
- Cost per enquiry
- Enquiry-to-quote rate
- Quote-to-sale rate
- What to change next
Why it works
Why Meta ads suit installation companies
Search advertising works when people already know what they want and are actively looking. That suits some installers well, but it caps you at existing demand, and in many installation categories that demand is thin and expensive.
Facebook and Instagram work differently. Someone who has quietly disliked their garage door for two years isn't searching for one. They are, however, scrolling. A good photo of a finished install five miles away is often what turns a vague idea into an enquiry.
It also suits the way these products sell: visual, local, easy to show before and after, and valuable enough that one won job can justify a meaningful amount of ad spend.

What we don't do
We don't rebuild your website, run your social media accounts, redesign your logo or sell you a strategy document. If that's what you're after, we're the wrong people — and we'll say so.
One product. One price.

Advertising budget
£500/month to start
Paid directly from your own Meta advertising account. We don't hide your media spend inside our fee.

Typical starting investment
£1,350/month
£850 Local Jobs management + £500 paid straight to Meta.
Start small. Prove it. Then scale it.
Getting started
Not a marketing strategy call.
Complete the fit check, and if Local Jobs looks right the next step is a practical setup call. We use it to confirm the details and, if we're both happy, get the advertising underway. No proposal landing in your inbox a fortnight later.
On the setup call we confirm:
- The installation jobs you want
- The areas you want them in
- Your rough job economics
- That you've got the photos, video and proof to advertise properly
- Your Meta setup — page, ad account, payment method
See it applied to your trade
Each installation category advertises slightly differently. These pages go into the specifics.
